enricobuehlerandClaude Opus 5	d383161723	docs: the docs catch up with five releases of shipped work ... ~1150 feat/fix commits landed since v0.19 and the docs drifted badly. This is a full sweep of every page against the code as shipped: ~280 verified corrections, nine new pages, and one deletion. The worst of what was wrong: the quickstart's five-minute path could not work (`serve` never started the web console, so step 3 had no PIN to read); every packaged Linux host runs `serve --gamestream` while security.md told readers to leave GameStream off; HDR was documented as Windows-only; `PUNKTFUNK_SECURE_DDA` was documented as a working knob that nothing reads; `PUNKTFUNK_INPUT_BACKEND` listed a `uinput` value that does not exist and named libei for KDE instead of kwin; README linked three pages deleted on 2026-07-05; and the rpm-ostree update command pointed at a script no package installs. Completeness: about half of what shipped since v0.19 had no page at all. New: support-matrix (what works where, from 217 verified capability cells), input (mouse/touch/pen — and the in-stream chords, so the docs finally say how to get your mouse back), client-settings, profiles-and-links, game-library, clipboard, wake-on-lan, hdr, uninstall. Updating existed but had zero inbound links. status.md is gone: its facts moved into the support matrix, its shell stays as a redirect so the public URL does not 404. roadmap.md is themes now, not a feature checklist — checkboxes are what rotted. Debian is no longer claimed. The .deb's Depends resolve against Ubuntu images, nothing in CI builds or tests Debian, and Debian 12 is below the glibc 2.39 floor. Six parallel audits swept the root docs, docs-site, every per-directory README, and the packaging docs; every claim below was verified against the source before editing. - README: Layout gains the six missing crates (pf-client-core, pf-presenter, pf-console-ui, pf-ffvk, pf-driver-proto, punktfunk-tray), clients/session, api/ and ci/; Linux/Windows client rows reflect the shell + Vulkan-session split and the Vulkan Video -> VAAPI/D3D11VA -> software decode chains; the "every client over a C ABI" claim is corrected (Rust clients link the core directly); tiered stats overlay + console shell noted; Apple row mentions AV1. - CONTRIBUTING: drop the dead CLAUDE.md link (deliberately untracked); point at the README's build/invariants sections. Rework the client READMEs to be accurate and inviting to first-time visitors, and fill in the gaps where crates and tools had none. - Rewrite clients/{apple,android,decky} READMEs (features-first, trim dense internal narrative; drop the stale "one session at a time" / "renegotiation not implemented" section from the Apple README). - Add READMEs for clients/{linux,windows,probe}, which had none. - Add crate READMEs for punktfunk-host, punktfunk-core, pf-driver-proto. - Add brief READMEs for tools/{loss-harness,latency-probe}. - Fix packaging/README duplicate "Option B" heading (bootc -> Option C). - Fix docs-site/README stale docs/ -> design/ reference. - De-stale packaging/windows/drivers/pf-dualsense README (drop "M0 spike" / external-checkout framing; reflect in-tree workspace + shipped + installer-bundled + multi-pad), keeping the driver-authoring lore. The file moves (docs/ → design/, docs/api/openapi.json → api/openapi.json) landed in 8897286, but the matching reference updates did not — so mgmt.rs's drift-test `include_str!("../../../docs/api/openapi.json")` pointed at a path that no longer exists and the host failed to build. This restores it and updates every reference: - mgmt.rs include_str! → ../../../api/openapi.json (fixes the build) - web/orval.config.ts codegen target, web/Dockerfile, .dockerignore - deb/rpm/Arch packaging install paths - CLAUDE.md, the .gitea CI workflows, code doc-comments, design-doc cross-links docs-site route URLs (/docs/...) untouched. Move the management console (web/) off shadcn/ui to the shared @unom/ui design system the marketing site + docs are built on, on the punktfunk violet brand over dark chrome: - Add @unom/ui/@unom/style/motion/radix-ui/zod + Geist; web/.npmrc maps the @unom scope (packages are public-read, so CI needs no npm auth). - styles.css: one dark-violet palette (#141019/#1c1530, brand #6c5bf3 -> #a79ff8) exposed under BOTH the shadcn token names the routes use and @unom/ui's contract, so routes + components both resolve; pulls in @unom/ui's material gloss + easings. - components/ui/* now back onto @unom/ui (AnimatedButton/InputText/Label/ AnimatedCard); brand-mark/wordmark/logo replace the generic Radio icon in the shell + login. - MaterialProvider (specular gloss) at the root. No UI sounds, like the site. docs-site: new /api route renders the host management REST API as an interactive Scalar reference (reads public/openapi.json, a snapshot of docs/api/openapi.json), branded violet and linked from the top nav, the docs sidebar, the landing page, and host-cli.md. New standalone app at docs-site/ — Fumadocs (fumadocs-core/ui 16, fumadocs-mdx 15) on TanStack Start (Vite 7 + nitro-v2 bun preset, React 19, Tailwind 4), mirroring the web/ console stack but with no auth/i18n/orval — docs stay public. - catch-all docs route (routes/docs/$.tsx), Orama search (routes/api/search.ts), RootProvider shell, MDX component map, shared nav, custom 404 - content/docs/: hand-written index.mdx + meta.json nav, plus 7 pages imported from repo docs/ + README (leading H1 stripped, YAML frontmatter added; kept as .md so existing </{ don't trip MDX JSX). Content is a one-time snapshot. - mdx() is plugins[0]; tsconfig collections/* -> ./.source/*; SSR search variant; @source for fumadocs-ui classes. Generated .source/routeTree/dist/.output ignored. Verified: bun run build (client+SSR+nitro) green, tsc clean, dev + prod servers serve all routes 200 with SSR content + nav, search returns hits, 404 works.
