enricobuehlerandClaude Opus 5	d383161723	docs: the docs catch up with five releases of shipped work ... ~1150 feat/fix commits landed since v0.19 and the docs drifted badly. This is a full sweep of every page against the code as shipped: ~280 verified corrections, nine new pages, and one deletion. The worst of what was wrong: the quickstart's five-minute path could not work (`serve` never started the web console, so step 3 had no PIN to read); every packaged Linux host runs `serve --gamestream` while security.md told readers to leave GameStream off; HDR was documented as Windows-only; `PUNKTFUNK_SECURE_DDA` was documented as a working knob that nothing reads; `PUNKTFUNK_INPUT_BACKEND` listed a `uinput` value that does not exist and named libei for KDE instead of kwin; README linked three pages deleted on 2026-07-05; and the rpm-ostree update command pointed at a script no package installs. Completeness: about half of what shipped since v0.19 had no page at all. New: support-matrix (what works where, from 217 verified capability cells), input (mouse/touch/pen — and the in-stream chords, so the docs finally say how to get your mouse back), client-settings, profiles-and-links, game-library, clipboard, wake-on-lan, hdr, uninstall. Updating existed but had zero inbound links. status.md is gone: its facts moved into the support matrix, its shell stays as a redirect so the public URL does not 404. roadmap.md is themes now, not a feature checklist — checkboxes are what rotted. Debian is no longer claimed. The .deb's Depends resolve against Ubuntu images, nothing in CI builds or tests Debian, and Debian 12 is below the glibc 2.39 floor. enricobuehlerandClaude Fable 5	4201851c7f	fix(fmt) + feat(gamepad): CI-matching rustfmt everywhere, enforced by repo git hooks; N4 spike flips to GO via MI_02 ... Three things that belong together: 1. rustfmt the gamepad-new-types host files ci.yml's `cargo fmt --all --check` gate flags (the .21/.133 verify recipes ran clippy+tests but never fmt — the same class of miss as 69f30f30). 2. Enforce it at the source: scripts/git-hooks/{pre-commit,pre-push} run the exact CI fmt gates (main workspace + the shipped-driver crates of the UMDF workspace); CONTRIBUTING documents the one-time `git config core.hooksPath scripts/git-hooks`. pre-push is the enforcement point (plumbing commits bypass pre-commit). 3. N4 follow-up — the spike verdict FLIPS TO GO: SwDeviceProfile grows `usb_mi`, synthesizing `&MI_02` into the Deck spike's USB hardware ids. hidclass mirrors the parent's USB tokens into the HID child's hardware ids, and hidapi/SDL/Steam parse `MI_` as bInterfaceNumber (defaulting to 0 when absent — the exact gate the first run hit: Steam wants the Deck controller on interface 2). Re-run live on .173: Steam logs `Interface: 2`, then `!! Steam controller device opened`, `Steam Controller reserving XInput slot 0`, and activates a mapping — full Steam Input promotion of the software-devnode Deck, no driver change needed. The PS identities pass `usb_mi: None` (real single-interface devices carry no MI_ token). A proper Windows-Deck backend phase is now justified; planned separately. Six parallel audits swept the root docs, docs-site, every per-directory README, and the packaging docs; every claim below was verified against the source before editing. - README: Layout gains the six missing crates (pf-client-core, pf-presenter, pf-console-ui, pf-ffvk, pf-driver-proto, punktfunk-tray), clients/session, api/ and ci/; Linux/Windows client rows reflect the shell + Vulkan-session split and the Vulkan Video -> VAAPI/D3D11VA -> software decode chains; the "every client over a C ABI" claim is corrected (Rust clients link the core directly); tiered stats overlay + console shell noted; Apple row mentions AV1. - CONTRIBUTING: drop the dead CLAUDE.md link (deliberately untracked); point at the README's build/invariants sections. The MIT OR Apache-2.0 SOURCE license is clean (audit found no copied copyleft); the gaps were all binary-distribution (Layer-2). This makes the shipped artifacts honest: - Windows host + client: bundled FFmpeg BtbN gpl-shared -> lgpl-shared (AMF/QSV/decode unaffected; the GPL-only x264/x265 were never used), and ship the FFmpeg LGPL notice + license text in the installer + MSIX (licenses/). - THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt generated + bundled into installer/MSIX/deb/rpm. Offline generator (scripts/gen-third-party-notices.{py,sh}) + cargo-about config (about.toml/ .hbs) with a permissive-only accepted-license allow-list as a copyleft regression gate. - Reword the win32u GPU-preference hook comments to reflect independent reimplementation (no Apollo/Sunshine GPL-3.0 source copied). - README dual-license + inbound=outbound contributor clause + non-affiliation trademark disclaimer; new CONTRIBUTING.md. - LICENSE files into the standalone driver + vk-layer workspaces; deb copyright holder aligned to "unom and the punktfunk contributors".
